HELENA "ELLA" TOBIN, b. 1893, d. 3 Jan 1977

Helena "Ella" Tobin was born 10 Jan 1893 in Helena, Montana to the Richard and Mary Tobin.  More than likely, she was born in Birdseye, Montana.  Although, her marriage certificate states she was born in Elliston, Montana.

"Ella" Tobin married Alexander Murray (b. 24 Apr 1891, Rogart, Scotland, parents=William Murray, Willamina Matheson) on 16 January 1922 in Helena, Montana.  They have one son:

• Robert Murray, b. 1930, Sand Coulee, MT (never married)

On Nov. 22, 1917, both sisters (Mary and "Ella" Tobin) recorded separate homestead PATENT DEEDS for 160 acres of land each that adjoined the Tobin Ranch.  The very next day on Nov. 23, 1917, both of them deeded this land to Joseph Tobin, their younger brother.

"Ella" and Alex lived in Sand Coulee, Montana where he was deputy sheriff for many years.

Great-Niece, Benda Neuenswander states, "Aunt Ella and Uncle Alex lived in Sand Coulee, Montana, a few miles from Great Falls. Uncle Alex was a deputy sheriff for years and Aunt Ella taught school. She was a warm charming lady and always had to tell Alex what to do. She was a wonderful neighbor to all who lived near her and she used to always help her neighbors out babysitting, etc. She had an old coal stove in her kitchen and could cook the best chicken dinner anywhere. They kept chickens in their back yard."

Helena "Ella" Tobin Murray died 3 January 1977 of "arteriosclerotic heart disease (onset=years)" at Washington Villa Care Center in Seattle, Washington.  Interment is Bleitz Crematory, Seattle, Washington.

Alexander Murray died 1 October 1964 in San Coulee, Montana.  Interment in New Highland Cemetery, Sand Coulee, Cascade, Montana.
